Plaza del Mar, was about to unveil and inaugurate their brand new eye dropping, ocean front residential development and needed marketing and media outreach for the event, plus planning and coordination of the event itself. The goal was to bring in 200 invitees, with hopes of including distinguished guests from Baja California Government and society in a relaxed evening with wine from local Baja wineries.
Solutions and Results
Crossborder Comunica developed and managed the invite list for Plaza del Mar. This included complete design coordination and distribution of the custom made invitations. Moreover, Crossborder Comunica was able to secure governmental participation of then Mayor of Rosarito, Hugo Torres, and the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California – key invites for the inaugural event.
To ensure the media attended and/or covered the event, press releases and media advisories were developed by Crossborder Comunica in English and Spanish and distributed to active media outlets in Baja and Southern California. A television spot & interview (“Minuto a Minuto”) of the owner of Plaza del Mar was was developed and coordinated by Crossborder Comunica, which included a line by line agenda.
Event planning coordination requires estimating and solicitation of vendor bids prior to the event, and on site coordination the day of, and Crossborder Comunica fulfilled this entire role. Even the climate cooperated as the ocean provided spectacular views and served as an awesome backdrop to the inauguration on this brand new beachfront development. All goals were reached in this paradise.
